From Deeva

This is where I will be sharing my art. It is a journey for me as I was always told I was shit at it and it turns out some people really like my stuff.

If you are interested in buying any of my pieces please email me on goddessdeeva@gmail.com

Prices are negotiable as I want art to be accessible to all and if a painting really moves you it should live with you.

Prints also available at http://Goddessdeeva.imagekind.com/ If you don't see what you want there then let me know and I will get it put on.

Original paintings available also at http://www.artsyhome.com/author/goddessdeeva

TRINIDAD

I am half Trini. My dad still lives there and I wanted to paint something that addressed that part of me.

So I based this on the colours in a red throated hummingbird as it is the national bird.

50 x 70 cms in acrylic I am quite happy with it.

It is for sale.

Not All Women

This one is already sold but I really liked it and proper enjoyed painting it so thought I would include it on this blog. It is called Not All Women as having a vagina isn't the criteria for womanhood.

I really enjoyed playing with depth and shape using colour and brush strokes and will be fun to paint more vaginas!

Peacock One Two and Three

I got an actual commission for a thing! This was very exciting to me and off I went. The client wanted something in a Rothko type style in peacock colours.

I painted four in the end. These ones are for sale. You can buy them separately or I will do a discount for a job lot. 40x50 cm in acrylic.

This is Peacock One. I like that the squares are off kilter. I wanted it to encompass the eye in a peacock's feather without it being a faithful representation of one.

I purposefully used a lower grade brush for Peacock Two as I wanted some shedding to stay on the painting to represent feathers.

Peacock Three is just plain pretty. I like it very much.
